High-Temp Cartridge Heaters

High-Temp Industries manufactures wide variety of cartridge heaters to fit todays rugged and complex industrial applications. Our strict manufacturing standards result in uniform surface temperatures, and excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, even at elevated temperatures.

High-Watt Density Cartridge Heaters:

These high watt desity heaters are designed to last even in the most extreme and demanding applications. Their heavy duty design and construction provides high dielctric strength as well as shock and vibration resistance. Available in diameters from .125" to 1" wide, as well as voltages ranging from 12v to 480v, with watt density up to 165 watts per square inch.

Features of High-Watt Density Heaters:

  • Incoloy or Stainless Steel Sheath: Selected heavy wall tubing gives maximum transfer, high compaction and is corrosion resistant.

  • Ceramic Potting: High density material locks the magnesium oxide in place, acting like an insulator between pin and sheath and also resists contamination.

  • Leads: Flexible, non-asbestos fiberglass leads, swaged internally connected.

  • Swaging: Compression of the magnesium oxide ensuring longer life.

  • Centering: MGO spacer precisely centers around wire wound core, eliminating hot spots.

Medium Watt Density Cartridge Heaters:

High-Temp Industries Medium Watt Density Heaters are reccomended for whenever the preformance of a High Watt Density Heater isn't required. Our Medium Watt Density Heaters utilize the same high quality material as our High Watt Density Heaters, except instead of a ceramic core with 80/20 nichrome wire wound on the exterior, the same 80/20 nichrome is spun in a spiral design, threaded thru a ceramic core with multiple channels internally. These heaters are a excellent choice when used in low vibration applications where an internal thermocouple is not required.

Features of Medium-Watt Density Cartridge Heaters:

  • Tempertaures up to 900 F

  • Watt Density up to 60 watts per square inch

  • Voltage range from 12v to 480v

  • Dameters from .25" to 1", 6mm to 25.4 in metric.

Split Sheath Cartridge Heaters:

High-Temp Industries' Split Sheath Heaters are designed to provide superior conductive heat transfer and easy change out. These cartridge heaters provide even sheath temperatures up to 1600 F and resolve the common problem of stuck heaters. These heaters are essentially long tubular elements bent into a 'D' shape, bent back forming two independant heated legs allowing for bilateral movement of each leg seperate from the other. This independant movement allows our heaters to 'fill' exisiting bore holes even if they have been subjected to excessive wear or damaged. When powered, the sections expand and improve surface contact with platens, dies, and molds: when cool, the sections contract to the original diameter for easy removal.

Split Sheath Heaters are availible in diameters ranging from .25" to 1", and 6mm to 25.4 in metric. Sheath lengths are available from 2 to 120 inches long with voltages ranging from 12v to 480v, and watt density up to 250 watts per square inch maintained by a 1 (one) year warranty against manufacturer defects.

We also offer a wide range of termination and lead material options to fit your applications along with options for thermocouple grooves.
